Sophomore Jack Spellman was named MAC Freedom Defensive Player of the Year and was named First Team All-MAC for his first career all-conference recognition. Teammate and junior Mike Goodall was named to the MAC Freedom’s Second Team for his first career all-conference honors. In addition, the team earned its seventh straight National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Team Academic Excellence Award, with nine players named to the association’s Honors Court.
Contributions toward athletics will help the university enhance players’ experience and performance through equipment upgrades and travel, like the recent trip to Canada in October! Increased video and scouting services support recruitment and training, providing the foundation for long-term growth – and the team’s goals to win a MAC championship and return to the NCAA tournament.
